1.12 Ct. Loose Faceted Oval Orange Yellow Zircon Gemstone,VVS, Natural, Cambodia

Description

Orange yellow faceted oval zircon gemstone, 1.12 carats, measuring 7.28 X 4.53 X 3.06 mm's.  Its clarity is VVS, eye clean, small, inclusions are only visible with the aid of a 10X's loupe.  It is transparent, natural, and heated only.  It's original origin is Cambodia.
I purchased this zircon from a gemstone seller in Thailand.  The zircon was mined in Cambodia.  Deposits of zircon are mainly alluvial, and deposits can be found in Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, as well as Australia, Brazil, Korea, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Vietnam.
There is another measurement I add of value to my gemstones, and that is the sharpness of the facets.  It seems that many gemstone sellers throw their gemstones in containers and let them bang around together before they parcel them out for sale.  When I receive one gemstone in it's own padded package, I keep going back to that seller.  This gemstone was received on a faceted gemstone protective pad and kept this way.  This is especially important in receiving gem quality zircon as it is brittle and sensitive to knocks and pressure; the edges are easily damaged.  The facets are in AAA+ condition.
I will be including the original item description with a picture from the seller of the gemstone to me.  This will authenticate its pedigree and origin.  This is always important to keep with your collection and jewelry.
Hyacinth is an old term for yellow, yellow-red, to red-brown zircon.  Zircon comes in a wide variety of colours.  Its wide and varied palette of yellow, green, red, reddish brown, and blue hues makes it a favorite among collectors as well as informed buyers.
Because of its high refractive index and strong dispersion, it has great brilliance and intensive fire.  The colourless, heat treated zircon are often used as a diamond substitute and even given a brilliant cut.
I have used LED lighting in my photography and have enlarged the gemstone for better viewing.  It has been pictured next to a dime for size reference.
