Description
Here is an antique cast iron table mounted crank Universal Vegetable Slicer dated 1900 on side and made by Landers. Frary and Clark, New Britain, Conn. It is a hand crank machine with 2 blades that rotate to slice vegetables when fed into the feeder. I haven't tried it but it appears it would work. The crank goes around smoothly and fine but does some squeaking as it goes around. I suppose it cold be oiled. Everything appears in very good shape with no cracks, repairs, etc. The circular blade holder portion is about 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The wooden handles show some normal use and staining. I bought this just the way you see it but I would say its been repainted at some point. It measures 11 1/2 inches long from top of hopper to bottom of brace holder. It has 2 blades that appear in decent shape must can't really tell how sharp they may be. Overall a very nice machine.
