  • Condition: Very good used condition with just normal light wear and signs of use but no damage or repairs noted. Screeches a bit when crank is used but could probably be oiled. Still has both blades but don't know if sharp or not. Otherwise fine.

    Description

    Here is an antique cast iron table mounted crank Universal Vegetable Slicer dated 1900 on side and made by Landers. Frary and Clark, New Britain, Conn. It is a hand crank machine with 2 blades that rotate to slice vegetables when fed into the feeder. I haven't tried it but it appears it would work. The crank goes around smoothly and fine but does some squeaking as it goes around. I suppose it cold be oiled. Everything appears in very good shape with no cracks, repairs, etc. The circular blade holder portion is about 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The wooden handles show some normal use and staining. I bought this just the way you see it but I would say its been repainted at some point. It measures 11 1/2 inches long from top of hopper to bottom of brace holder. It has 2 blades that appear in decent shape must can't really tell how sharp they may be. Overall a very nice machine. Please see ALL enlarged photos for best idea of condition of the item as these are a part of the description.
