Description

Cracked iMac Late 2015 5k Retina display LM270QQ1 (SD)(B1).
This was pulled from a 27" Late 2015 iMac. This display does NOT include the temperature sensor, so you'll need a new one or you can salvage the old one from your (presumably) more damaged display. As you can see from the pictures, the crack is hairline enough that it is invisible when looking straight on, but becomes very obvious when looking at an angle and / or on a white background.
The interior edges, where the adhesive strips attach, have some substantial wear, mostly from trying to remove the excessively strong and poor quality Chinese display strips. As a PSA, always, ALWAYS buy the American-made strips. These appear to be the ones Apple uses, and will save you from breaking your display (like this one) when you try to open your iMac for the 2nd time. If the tapes don't say American-made, you can be fairly certain it'll be the Chinese (or who knows where) knock-offs.
