The heating element leads project out at the top of the furnace bell and connect to the step down transformers.
Operating temperature; 1200 C, 2200 F
Connected load; 45KW, 220 volt 3 phase to operate through saturable reactor and step down transformers.
The furnace is heated molybdenum elements and is equipped with nickel reflective baffle type insulation.
Three sight ports are provided in the side of the heating chamber, arranged one over the other on 7” centers.
The vacuum chamber consists of a cylindrical shell fabricated from #300 series stainless steel, cooled by means of water filled coils fastened to the outside of the shell. The water temperature of the coils is thermostatically controlled.
The top movable bell containing the heating elements and baffles may be hoisted upwards allowing the work to be placed in the chamber. The stationary base contains the vacuum and atmosphere ports. A movable vent assembly is provided in the baffles to permit convection currents to aid in cooling. A multi thermocouple feed through port is provided for control and indication through the bottom of the furnace.
