Description
iMac 27-inch Late 2015, Retina 5K, 3.3 GHz Quad-core Intel i5, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD PristineImmaculate; near flawless condition
Everything on this iMac works properly, including speakers and camera; the screen and case are pristine.
The drive was erased and has a new installation of
Big Sur 11.4
, the latest Apple OS.
The
type of drive is an important factor to consider
in your purchase of a used iMac -
SSD drives are fast but expensive.
When I configured this machine, I definitely wanted an SSD drive rather than one of the fusion drives that Apple was offering in 2015. You’ll notice many iMac listings have fusion drives.
With fusion drives, Apple combined SSD with standard hard drives to market a fast but lower-priced high capacity drive, but fusion drives had drawbacks. In a fusion drive, only 128GB is an SSD; the rest of the drive is a slow HDD.
Fusion drives are obsolete; Apple doesn’t use them anymore.
The decision is yours, but you can do a Google search “Apple fusion drives any good?”

Like most photographers I use an external drive to hold working files and just keep software and my Lightroom database on the iMac. If your use will be just documents and phone photos you'll be able to put everything on the internal 500GB SSD drive.
The
speed of the 500 GB SSD combined with 32 GB RAM optimizes this machine for demanding tasks.
I’m a photographer working with huge files and this has handled everything I asked of it.
I am the original owner
and this was my personal computer; I decided to upgrade to a new iMac because of high-resolution video processing.
The
Retina 5K Display
is vivid with
no dead pixels
. The
glass is immaculate
, no scratches or marks.
All photos above are of the actual iMac for sale
, no stock images. The only imperfection I can find on the body is a small dark spot on the front, on the left and about an inch away from the Apple logo. See the 4th photo for best view of the spot.
Included is the
Power Cord, a mouse and a Wireless Apple Magic Keyboard and recharging cable.
