This is a New in Original Box with Original Instructions, Reading Apple Parer No. 78. Made in the USA.
The parer is stamped with the number 78 (its model number).
The apple parer was originally designed and released in 1878 by the Reading Hardware Company in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Sterling G. Withers purchased the patents, patterns, and inventory, and continued production of the '78.

The Apple Parer is made of cast iron.
When assembled (attached to the table bracket), it stands approximately 11" tall.
The largest gear is approximately 6" in diameter.
