    Description

    8" by 10" black and white print of Western Airlines Lockheed L-749A Constellation N86525.  This Constellation was delivered new to Chicago and Southern as a 649A in February 1951.  It went to Delta in the merger in May 1953.  It was converted to 749A specs in 1955 and was sold to PNA in October 1956.  It flew for Western from July 1967 until it was sold in December 1968.  It was obtained by the Biafra Air Force sometime in 1969 and was written off in late 1969 when it crashed in Morocco.  This print is scanned and restored from a Western Airlines PR photo and is formatted as an 8"x10" print.

    All prints are professionally scanned from slides unless noted otherwise,  and printed on high quality FUJIFILM Lustre Finish Photo Paper.  Imperfections, dirt, and dust from original image have been removed where possible, and color and fade correction made as needed.  EBay image is a low resolution scan.  Actual prints are sharper and have better color than eBay scans.  Most prints are borderless, however due to cropping and format variations some may have a small white border.****
